My story

January 27, 2020
The year began with bad news for the health of one of my best friends, Camila, my soul sister. I took a plane to go accompany her to cross that bridge that life gave her. What I didn't know was that she was the one who was going to help me find a magic that was missing in my life: the magic of doing what you like.
After several days of cooking healthy food following María Villegas' recipes and going in and out of her pantry, I suggested that we organize this space in her house to leave it “like a magazine.” So we bought everything we needed and started the task. They were days that distracted us from the fear and pain that the disease produces, not only to those who suffer from it but also to the loved ones around them.

We were so happy with our “plan” that we decided to give it a name: THE PANTRY GENIE , and post some photos on Instagram with the help of her stepdaughter – a millennial, of course. Over the next few days Cami entered her pantry full of pain from the surgery but always smiled when she saw her food, vegetarian and healthy, organized and ready to inspire her to heal. What greater satisfaction than giving that joy to someone you love so much?
Several years have passed since I started with this passion. Yes, my mouth waters when someone asks me to order something. I have had the opportunity to organize houses in the United States, in Spain, in Switzerland, in Barranquilla, in Bucaramanga, in Bogotá... and to participate alongside great architects in the design of closets, pantries and kitchens. In this time I have learned a lot from those experiences, I have read more and I became certified as a Professional Organizer (NAPO) in the United States. That doesn't mean I know everything, but I try to learn and try things so I can give my best recommendations.
I don't think it's too early to say that our soul feels when something fulfills us professionally, and this is the first time I've felt it in my life. This change came into my life in my forties, but I learned that it is never, never too late to reinvent yourself. You just have to have your eyes and soul open, because even when I thought I was helping my friend through a difficulty, today I see that it was she who helped me define what I want to do for the rest of my life, which fulfills me. of joy and that had cost me a lot of work to find. And for that I will be eternally grateful: Cami, from heaven I know that you smile every time the magic of The Pantry Genie spreads.
Now you know how close my work is to my heart, and that's why I do everything with my soul.
